Little Zahra is physically challenged, as she wears both a prosthetic leg and is hearing impaired, say Hickory, North Carolina police, who are now questioning Zahra Clare Baker's stepmom in the case of the missing child.

Zahra's artificial leg extends from the left knee downward. Her hearing aids were left in her room, without which she is rendered almost completely deaf.

Although Zahra Clare was last seen at 2:30 a.m., she was not reported missing by her father until the next day at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, a rather lengthy period of time for a child not to be around on a Saturday.

An Amber Alert was issued for Zahra on Saturday and will remain in effect until the girl is located, police said in a statement on Sunday. "We are deeply concerned for the welfare of Zahra but remain hopeful that we will locate her safe and unharmed."

The notion of the child having been abducted by strangers is becoming "less likely" of a scenario, they added.

The police are also looking at surveillance video from some stores and other establishments around her neighborhood.

Reports say that a small fire was also reported on the same morning that Zahra is thought to have disappeared, but any relation is undetermined at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this case should contact Hickory police at 828-328-5551.

I don't know if I am allowed to say this or not, but I sensed abuse when I looked at her picture. Hopefully, in saying that, I am not breaking any of the rules because that is not at all my intent.

I don't know much else beyond that. That was my initial feeling upon seeing her photo. I hope for her sake, I am mistaken.

No you are not breaking any rules.. This is what this site is all about, your psychic feelings and anything you can offer that might give insight into what happened or how to find these children.

The only thing I want to stay away from is outwardly accusing someone without any real proof other than everyone thinks that person is guilty. i.e Terry Horman.. (forgive me for mentioning her name but she is THE perfect example) I know there is a fine line in that area. I have said that I think "so and so" is guilty. If you have a real feeling about someone, say it. Just use your best judgment as to what you say and how you say it.

And one other thing, which I don't feel I even need to say to any of our current members, keep in mind that what you are saying may at some time be seen by the family. Keep their feelings in mind and if you are ever in doubt about something, just email me and we will figure out how to present your visions in the best way possible to not create more harm.

Thank you Diana. I try very hard to tread carefully when I post my gut feelings on something, because I don't wish to unduly offend anyone. I'm glad you mentioned the e-mailing. I hadn't thought of that and it's a very good suggestion, I will keep that in mind in the event that I ever get anything of that nature.

You are welcome! I know I don't have to worry about most of the members here as many of them came here from the blog and working on Kyron's case so they pretty much know how I feel about certain things. I just want to keep it honest, positive and helpful. There are other places to vent and rage on about things.

Thank you for being here!!!

Namaste
Diana

Oh and Tru, I think you are probably right about the abuse. I believe the step mom is being investigated, arrested on unrelated charges but being looked. How sad..

Yes, VERY sad! My heart aches for all of these poor babies. To injur a child is truely a horrible offense. I just read the news about her for the first time a couple of minutes ago, and when I did, the smell and vision of dirt popped into my mind. Like she is buried beneath it. I cannot claim to be as gifted as you or some of the others on this site, but I feel as though the fire had something to do with it. Like it was a method to cover or hide something.

Quick question. The article you posted and the article in the news mentioned that she had a prosthetic leg but that her hearing aids were set aside and not with her. Wouldn't her prosthetic leg also be left behind? I know nothing of prosthetic limbs, other than they are removeable. I would almost think that removing it would make sleeping considerably more comfortable, that is of course unless she felt incomplete without it and it was a source of embarrassement for her to be without it.

A thought just popped into my mind..something my mother used to say when I was growing up..."always wear your pajamas while you sleep so that you are prepared in the event of a fire". Could this also be true about the fire in her backyard and the prosthetic leg??

I would also think that sleeping without the let would be easier but, like you, I have no idea. The hearing aids could easily been missed. I heard a little more on the news this evening and in my opinion its not looking good for finding this girl alive. And the suspicion is falling squarely on the step mom but I feel the dad needs to be looked at carefully as well. This may be more opinion rather than intuition but sadly, I've seen this too many times before. I haven't had a chance to meditate on this case as my house was full of kids today but I think your intuition is hitting on all cylinders!
